When I was little, I read a book. I think it was called Disney’s Elegant Book of Manners or something. It was essentially a book of poetry about good and bad manners, with illustrations of Disney characters who demonstrated either good or bad manners. To be honest, the book was pretty bad. Except for one page… which was good.

That one page was a poem and drawing about, at mealtimes, you shouldn’t talk about “gross, stupid things” that make people lose their appetite. And the drawing was of Huey, Dewey and Louie at the table. With one of them apparently talking about someone smoking a pipe and how disgusting all the smoke was, while the other two looked sick.

It was an absolutely amazing drawing that totally saved the book.

Here is my recreation of this drawing, through the filter of the fact that I liked it, using the boys’ designs from the 2017 DuckTales cartoon. Because, let’s face it. if anyone would thoughtlessly harp on about things that makes others feel nauseous without even realizing he’s doing anything wrong, it’s that incarnation of Dewey.
